Chip & Kale – Plant Based Meal Delivery Review
Why? Why would recipe developers, home cooks/chefs, food bloggers, ya know, people like us, order a meal delivery service? I mean we love creating our recipes, we love variety and creativity in the kitchen, and we love sharing our food creations with you. So why would we openly order and make food prepared by someone else like a meal delivery service? Here we answer that question and share why we love Chip & Kale in a Plant Based Meal Delivery Review.
Chip & Kale – Plant Based Meal Delivery
Well, we met Chip & Kale at a Vegfest about three years ago. They were local to us in Pittsburgh, and at that time, they delivered right to the door. They’ve grown since then and can now ship to 48 states – which is awesome! We loved the concept of their meals – whole ingredients, measured, prepped, and frozen fresh with no preservatives; packed and shipped on dry ice right to your door. We were also impressed with the variety in their menu. We knew we had to try them.

We’ve ordered several times, we’ve posted about them on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. We’ve shared YouTube videos of their meals – like their Curry Chick’n Noodle Soup and their Butternut Squash Pizza! We were thrilled when they reached out to partner with us. Since we love them and already love telling you about them, we appreciated that they want to give you a discount (on your first order). Yay! So let’s walk through cooking a Chip & Kale meal.
This is a One Pot Fajita Pasta, and it was DELICIOUS!
The meals came frozen in one large Ziploc. Each ingredient is labeled by the step it falls under in the recipe.
First I read the instructions carefully and prep any pans and dishes and measure out any water I may need.
Next, I lay the ingredients out by their number and reread the directions (I have made mistakes before, so an extra read of the straightforward instructions is a must in my house).
For this recipe, we sautéed up pack one which contained peppers and onions. In our house, we water saute, and that is recommended by Chip & Kale unless otherwise noted.
Next, I stirred in water, the spice blend in container 2,
and then the tomato mixture in pack 3,
and the pasta in pack 4.
Everything comes pre-measured, so you just dump and stir.
We brought that mixture to a boil to meld all the flavors and cook up the pasta.
Just before the pasta was done, we added in bag 5, the chickpeas. At this point, the meal was coming together, and it smelled so tasty.
We tasted the pasta for doneness, and then it was time to add container six which was the nutritional yeast!
Then it was merely, stir and serve.
One Pot Fajita Pasta from Chip & Kale
We really enjoyed this meal, 1 pot, very delicious with rich flavors, and it is healthy!. It is nice to grab a frozen pack and whip up a quick lunch in the RV. We are both working during the day, so these quick meals afford us a tasty lunch or dinner in a short amount of time, usually under thirty minutes.
